The Getaria-Zarautz Swimming Crossing combines sport and tourism

Participants will take advantage of the long weekend to get to know our environment.

The Getaria-Zarautz is celebrating its 50th edition this Sunday, being one of the longest running open water crossings and the number 1 in terms of participants at a national level and number 5 at a European level. This year it will be no less, with 2,850 participants who will set off from the port of Getaria from 11:30 on Sunday.
Although it is a race in which all kinds of people take part. There are those who fight for victory, to improve their records, to finish or simply take advantage of the “excuse” to go sightseeing and visit the region of Urola Kosta.
