The Napoleonic Market returns to Vitoria-Gasteiz in April

Lakua-Arriaga will return to the Napoleonic era for three days full of activities

The Napoleonic Market will return to Arriaga Park on the first weekend of April: from 5 to 7 April. An event organized by the Ipar-Arriaga association, with the collaboration of Vitoria 1813 and the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council. The event recreates the time of the Napoleonic invasion and the subsequent expulsion of the French.

This market brings together thousands of people every year, who enter the city of Vitoria-Gasteiz more than 2 centuries ago and it will be the Napoleonic army who will once again take over the Arriaga park between bagpipes and salvos. In addition, once again this year, different recreationists will camp again to bring a piece of history to Vitoria-Gasteiz: the War of Independence and, especially, the Battle of Vitoria. Comedians, minstrels, musicians and storytellers will also take centre stage. All this in the middle of dozens of food and craft stalls.
