Bilbao will host its first international festival dedicated to blues, completely free of charge, which will bring a dozen of the genre’s leading figures to the stage of the Arenal promenade and kiosk.
The line-up includes artists of the stature of Bob Stroger, Kim Johnson and the Chicago All Stars, Shemekia Copeland, Fantastic Negrito and Raimundo Amador.
In this first edition, the organisers have also scheduled educational concerts for children, activities at the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, a talk with a concert dedicated to women and the blues and parades featuring dixie bands.
