Last April it was announced that Álava would host the XI edition of the IWINETC. The Diputación de Álava and the town council of Vitoria have reported that the event will be on March 12th and 13th, although from the 14th day there will be activities in the Rioja Alavesa.
It has been set on March 11th as the date for the arrival and reception of the participants of the contest, which will take place on 12th and 13th in Vitoria.
From 14 there will be complementary activities in Rioja Alavesa, where for two days and a half will meet suppliers of wine tourism products and travel agencies, as well as tour specialized in marketing wine tourism.
It has also been revealed that the “Master of Wine” Sara Jane Evans, an award-winning wine writer, will offer a masterclass. Evans is known for his interest in Spanish wines, which made her worthy of the great Order of knights of wine as well as different prizes. In the IWINETC of 2019 Evans will lead a wine tasting of Rioja Alavesa and Txakoli of the three appellations of origin of Euskadi.
