harrijasotzaileBilbao, San Sebastián, Vitoria-Gasteiz, Zarautz, Hondarribia and Irun, components of the tourism brand ‘Basque Country Tourism’, and in collaboration with the Deputy Ministry of Tourism of the Basque Government, presented their tourism in Zaragoza on 19, 20 and 21 June 2015.

Representatives of Basquetour and ‘Basque Country Tourism’, will open officially tents of ‘Basque Country Tourism’ by a press conference to introduce the media and professional sector tourism in the brand.

This is the first time that ‘Basque Country Tourism’ goes to Zaragoza. For the Basque tourism this is a market of interest, for its proximity and good railway and road connection with Euskadi. According to the data, Aragon is the seventh Spanish region that brings more visitors to the Basque Country.

Tents of ‘Basque Country Tourism’ will be located in El Pilar square, and they are able to know each of the locations as well as offering special programming to plan the trip. And it is that ‘Destinations Basque Country’ is conceived as the best way of discovering the Basque Country, from the vanguard of its cities to the quiet of their coastal villages, happening for the flavour of its food and wine essence.

Throughout these three days there will be gastronomic degustation of wine of Rioja Alavesa and Txakoli with cheese D.O. Idiazabal. And for the smallest gastronomic infantile workshops led by a Basque chef. For both activities, which are free, pre-registration will be required at the point of information of the tent.

In addition, there will be exhibitions of Basque rural sports with harrijasotzailes (stone lifters) and aizkolaris (log cutters) in the same El Pilar square, where the general public can enjoy the demonstrations will happen.

The opening of the tent will be Friday and Saturday (19 and 20 June), from 11.00 to 15.00 and from 16.00 to 21.00 and Sunday (June 21), from 11.00 to 15.00.
