As it does every year, Arriaga Park is transformed to host the Napoleonic Market, recreating what life was like in the city around 1813, during the French occupation and the Battle of Vitoria.
From 27 to 29 March, the market will bring together around 120 stalls selling crafts, local produce and food. Throughout the weekend, visitors can also enjoy historical reenactments, military parades, skirmishes, artillery demonstrations featuring four-pound cannons, period music, processions and street theatre performances.
This 14th edition will also feature traditional craft workshops and demonstrations of woodcarving, leatherwork, glasswork and coin minting. A perfect opportunity to step back in time and experience the atmosphere of early 19th-century Vitoria-Gasteiz.
