The Oiasso Museum joins the activities organised in Gipuzkoa on the occasion of the European Heritage Days, an initiative launched by the Council of Europe to enhance the value of heritage, bring it closer to citizens and raise awareness of the importance of its conservation.
For this reason, Oiasso encourages visitors to get to know the Irugurutzeta mining area and the natural environment of Aiako Harriak. The Irugurutzeta heritage site includes a set of mining galleries and ore calcination furnaces.
The meeting point for the visit will be every Saturday in October at 11:00 a.m. in the same natural area where the mining operation is located. The museum invites visitors to come to Irugurutzeta, for example, by bicycle. It is necessary to make a reservation 24 hours in advance.
