The World Press Photo is displayed in Vitoria-Gasteiz. The pageant world’s most prestigious photojournalism can be enjoyed in the old water tank of Montehermoso Cultural Center of the city.
Exposure visit Vitoria-Gasteiz for the twelfth consecutive year and in this 57 edition this year there have been nearly 99,000 photographs taken by photojournalists 5,754 belonging to 132 countries.
They have been awarded 53 photographers of 25 nationalities. The sample can be seen in Montehermoso, runs during a year 100 cities in 45 countries, including the major world capitals.
The photo exhibition is divided into ten sections: winning photo, contemporary issues, daily life, current events, news, people in their environment, portraits, wildlife, sports action and sports writers. And issues such as war, domestic violence, organized crime, overcoming illness, major disasters, and attitudes peculiar characters and stories related to nature and the environment are addressed.
