Gran Vía / Albia Gardens

Jardines Albia

The “fosteritos”, as the Metro entrances are known, encourage us to enter into the interior of the city: between glass and steel, concrete and light.

In Berástegui the greenery of the Albia Gardens can be seen and we head that way; in these gardens stone is mixed with glass to be the heart of a city that regards itself and look outwards.

Peeping out from among trees and houses is the almost hidden belfry of the old parish church of the parish of Abando, San Vicente. We return to the Gran Vía along Alameda Mazarredo.
