As dictated by tradition, on the Friday before Christmas Eve, fire announces the arrival of Christmas in Vitoria-Gasteiz.

A night on which the magical light of over 15,000 candles becomes a decorative feature of our Medieval Quarter and its main squares: Plaza del Matxete, Los Arquillos, San Miguel Balconies, Plaza de Brullerías and the streets which make up the heart of the Old Quarter.

There are many activities organised for your enjoyment: exhibitions, open-air ice skating rink, frozen slides, Christmas markets, but without a doubt it is the monumental Nativity scene in La Florida Park, that is the one of the most distinguishing features of this period in our city.
