This year, 24 groups will parade through the streets of the city on Saturday and Sunday (26th and 27th February) at 17:00. Two circuits have been designed, one through the city centre and the other through the Gros neighbourhood, so that the troupes can be divided and parade through both areas, some on Saturday and others on Sunday.
Carnival 2022 will culminate with the traditional burial of the sardine, on Monday 28 February from 19:00 in the centre of Donostia/San Sebastián, which will be enlivened by charangas.
Carnival comes to Donostia/San Sebastián
The capital of Gipuzkoa brings back the carnival celebrations with a wide-ranging programme adapted to the current health situation, which will take place mostly from 24th to 28th February.
