After reaching its record number of participants in 2014, with almost 4500 athletes, the Half Marathon has become the race in the Basque country which, in spite of not having cash prizes, attracts each year thousands of participants, over half of whom come from outside Vitoria-Gasteiz and Álava.

Although on some occasions it is held on a cold day, each one of the more than 40,000 participants in the previous editions confirm that crossing the finish line in Mendizorrotza is a hugely exciting experience.
