The old Casino,
built between 1882 and 1887 (today the headquarters of City
Hall), is one of the best-situated buildings in San Sebastián,
between the "Ensanche" or area of expansion, and the Old Part,
edged by the Alderdi-Eder park and the La Concha promenade.
Monumental and elegant, its image is irreplaceable to the
extent that it is difficult to imagine that another building
could occupy its privileged location.
