The Bilbao City
Fall was built on the site of the former convent of San Agustín
(St Agustin), ceded by the Government to Bilbao City Hall
in 1880.
Its location at the beginning of the Campo de Volantín and
its direct links with the area called the "Ensanche" or the
area of expansion of Bilbao, via the San Agustín swing bridge,
gives the site its special visual and strategic importance
in the city. |
