FESTIVAL OF THE VIRGIN OF BEGOÑA

The devotion of the inhabitants of Bilbao and the province of Vizcaya to the Virgin of Begoña is widely known. Proof of this is the church constructed with the alms of the faithful and rebuilt many times in the same manner.

The large number of people who visit the sanctuary on a daily basis and especially during the festivals of Santa Maria and Santa Begoña, offer a constant reminder of the religious fervour of the local population. August 15, October 11
