Each driver must present a current, valid driving licence in her/his name (driving licences containing language not readable in the country of rental must be accompanied by an International Driving Licence) held for a minimum period of ONE YEAR; he/she must also meet the age requirements in force in that country for the vehicle category reserved. Please see above.
The payment of “optional extras”, deposits and of the possible charges resulting from damage to or loss of the rented vehicle must be warranted at time of rental.
Credit cards are accepted in the limits authorised by the credit card company; please note that certain cards are not accepted in every country. Please check "Credit cards accepted” section above.
EUROPCAR vouchers issued by Totally Spain (with a specified value or state “ Group Days Apply”) are accepted as payment for the vehicle rental, but they must be accompanied by a credit card for the charges which have not been prepaid e.g. optional extras, refuelling charge, excess due in case of, damage to or loss of, the rented vehicle, etc.
Damage (bodily injury or property) caused to third parties is included in the rental rates. The level of coverage provided depends on local legislation and markets.
This optional cover is available directly from EUROPCAR at time of vehicle collection and is particularly recommended for the driver, who is not be covered by the rental vehicle's Third Party Liability policy for Death or Permanent Disability occurring as a result of an accident caused by the renter.
CDW/CDI (Collision Damage Waiver or Collision Damage Insurance) - LDW/LDI (Loss and Damage Waiver or Loss and Damage Insurance)
TW/TI (Theft Waiver or Theft Insurance). (Included in all rentals with Totally Spain)
Unless EUROPCAR is able to recover the cost of its damages from an identified liable Third Party, the renter/driver is liable for all damages to or loss of the vehicle occurring during the course of the rental. This liability can generally be waived against payment of a fixed charge per rental day (Included in all rentals with Totally Spain). It should, however, be noted that a residual non-waivable amount (excess) will be applied in the event of damage to or loss of the vehicle. These amounts are as follows but may be subject to change without prior notice:

Rates do not include fuel. Vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel and should be returned with a full tank of fuel. Renters must pay for any fuel missing at the end of a rental. In addition, a refuelling charge of 10.40 Euros + vat (subject to change without prior notice) is also applied.
Normal maintenance, oil and lubrication are included in the rates. Incurred roadside expenses which have been approved by EUROPCAR will be refunded upon presentation of the original receipts.
If you are planning on taking your vehicle outside of Spain you must check with EUROPCAR at the start of rental the countries to which the vehicle may not be taken.
WHEN YOU PICK-UP & DROP-OFF YOUR CAR
*** IMPORTANT - YOUR RESPONSIBILITY ***
Be sure to inspect fully (bodywork, lights, windscreen, car interior, etc..) your rental vehicle for any damage before leaving the pick-up area. Any previous damage should be recorded on your Rental Agreement. If it isn´t, report it immediately and ensure EUROPCAR takes note of it.
Also ensure that you return your car with enough time for EUROCAR to inspect it WITH YOU PRESENT. Otherwise, in the event that the car gets damaged while in the car park, you may be blamed and charged for the damage.
It is your responsibility to do this as Totally Spain does not accept any responsibility or get involved in any disputes regarding damage to rental vehicles. This is strictly between the driver & EUROPCAR.
Please also note that your hire car must be returned at or before the time you picked it up at, otherwise you will be charged for an extra day's rental by EUROPCAR.
