The Network of Medieval Towns and Cities, to which Hondarribia belongs, was awarded with the prize of the Best Cultural Product in XVII Contest of Active Tourism, announced by the magazines Aire Libre and Fitur Activo.

Hondarribia presides at present and in the past promoted the Network of Medieval Cities and Towns, integrated by ten state municipalities and two from Portugal.
