Participants will run over 42 miles from 9.00 am to 16.00 approximately, through downtown streets and the outskirts of the city. This year, as new, it may participate in the marathon on skates. The modalities that will be played are marathon (42 km 195 m), half marathon (21 km 97 m), popular race (10 km) and marathon on skates (42 km).</p>

At 20.00 hours there will be a reception in the local council for participating chefs, one hour after the welcome dinner will celebrate at the Society Klink.</p>
<p>Saturday morning the stoves will begin to heat up and will start at 10.00 International Competition in Medieval Pinchos in Society Klink. The panel will issue its decision at 12.30 pm.</p>
<p>The ten cities and medieval villages that are submitted to the competition are Almazan, Consuegra, Coria, Estella-Lizarra, Hondarribia, Laguardia, Marvão, Olivenza, Sigüenza and Vila Viçosa. It is in this order and shall develop and submit to the jury his creations.</p>
<p>Once you know the judges&#8217; decision and to 15.00 pinchos will be tasted at different establishments in Hondarribia.</p>
<p>This tasting will also be on Sunday May 6th between 12.00 and 15.00.</p>
<p>For the celebration of the International Competition of Pinchos in Hondarribia has designed a program of activities for all ages.</p>

<p>In this Fant 18, seven international release movies and 26 short films compete in the official section. The half of filmmakers are Basque and is also programmed a tribute to Polanski and Fleischer.</p>
<p>The festival will start on May 4 in &#8220;Cines Golem&#8221; (Alhondiga), at 19.45, with the premiere of the movie &#8220;El Callejón&#8221;, presented by its director, Antonio Trashorras and the actress Ana de Armas.</p>
<p>In addition, the American director Greg Olliver visit Bilbao for the world premiere of his film &#8220;Devorado&#8221; to compete in the Official Section.</p>
<p>In the SHORT FANT will screen 26 films, half of Basque directors, who will compete for two prizes endowed with 3,000 euros each other for the Best Short Film. As well, the jury will fail an award of 2,000 euros for the Best  Basque Short.</p>
<p>The festival recover classics, with a screening of &#8220;Repulsion&#8221; and &#8220;Rosemary&#8217;s Baby,&#8221; Polanski, or &#8220;The Boston Strangler&#8221; by Richard Fleischer. It shall submit the funny documentary &#8220;Superheroes&#8221; by Mike Barnett, which portrays ordinary people who, dressed as superhero, make extraordinary acts of courage and kindness.</p>
<p>FANT 18 will bring to Bilbao for the first time, a session Phenomena Experience, with a screening of &#8220;The Shining&#8221; and &#8220;Evil Dead&#8221; and the cycle &#8220;FANT Al Rescate&#8221; will screen &#8220;The Call&#8221; by Javier Setó, and &#8220;The week of the murderer&#8221; by Eloy de la Iglesia, two little-known films of the Spanish fantasy.</p>

The guide specifies the ingredients that make European Green Capital 2012 in a fine city.</p>
<p>In the copy, appear the latest culinary awards of the establishments of Vitoria &#8211; Gasteiz, the events of the traditional and avant-garde creations as the &#8220;Week of Pintxo of Alava and the Rioja Alavesa Wine &#8216;, the&#8217; Week of little casserole of Alava and the Rioja Alavesa Wine&#8217;, the International Fair of Wine and Gastronomy in Vitoria-Gasteiz, the National Congress of Author’s Cuisine or the “pintxo-pote’s” phenomenon. The guide also includes the different schools of hotel industry and cuisine of Vitoria-Gasteiz and the pool of professionals for restoration that the capital has.</p>
<p>The new brochure offers to visitors different routes as routes of pintxos, the sweet route, the delicatessen route and the wine bars route, so that they can take a culinary memory of Vitoria-Gasteiz. The information on these routes is shown by useful maps of the city where all the points of each route are specified. It also summarizes the most important establishments in each of these sectors to provide the widest range of possibilities for getting lost in the city.</p>
<p>The guide also shows various recipes of traditional cuisine as well as the two first prizes of 2011 editions of the “Week of little casserole of Alava and the Rioja Alavesa Wine”.</p>

There will be entertainment shows, over 200 craft stalls and craft workshops, wich will occupy the streets and corners of the city.</p>
<p>The novelty this years features the return of the Fueros square qith the Great Medieval Torunament, wich will be two encores on Saturday at 22.00 and Sunday 17.00. Another novelty is holding a concert of a capella music, offered for the first time at the Convent of Santa Cruz. This concert will take a place Saturday and Sunday at 12.30 pm and the entry will cost 2 euros.</p>
<p>The proclamation of the inauguration will take place on Friday 23 at 19.00 in theMatxete square, and run by Mikel Gómez de Segura, founder and director of the Society of Arts-Transfer.</p>
<p>The market will be open from Friday 23 at 18.00 to Sunday 25 at 22.00.</p>

<p>The Official Section will present 20 films competing for the Golden Shell and the other official honors awards. In addition, the <em>Zabaltegi</em> section, provide a comprehensive overview of current films, through a selection of films previously presented at other festivals or films of emerging filmmakers.</p>
<p>Donostia Prize this year will be for the actress Glenn Close, who will parade down the red carpet with other actors, directors and film personalities, who will add a glamour note in San Sebastian.</p>

<p>One more year, the best magic show-window is going to be awarded with 10,000 euros.</p>
