The Galtxagorris, tiny elves Basque mythology, hide in the streets of Zarautz. Zarautz Tourism propose you the experience “In search of the Galtzagorris” for the family find them in the main monuments of the historic center of Zarautz.

Mari, the goddess of Basque mythology, will send a letter asking for your help to find them and give you a map with multiple tracks and illustrations. Seek advice to pedestrians and, with the family, move quickly from one point to another to overcome various tests and get new clues that will lead to a new Galtxagorri.

Two hundred years ago the city of Vitoria-Gasteiz was the scene of a decisive military confrontation in the course of European history. French troops escorting Joseph Bonaparte in his escape and the conglomerate of British troops, Spanish and Portuguese under the command of the Duke of Wellington and General Alava fought on the outskirts of Vitoria. The allies were victorious which caused the final withdrawal of French troops from Spain and forced Napoleon to return the country’s crown to Fernando VII, ending five years of occupation.

A very important historical event which this year celebrates its bicentennial. The city of Vitoria-Gasteiz and Araba/Álava celebrate with a full program of activities with exhibitions, concerts and performances, courses, conferences and lectures, guided tours and children’s activities.

The latest Loewe fashion show in the fifth edition of Paris Fashion Week was Bilbao as the main theme. The designer Stuart Vevers, creative director of the firm, visited Bilbao in October and fell in love with her to the point of being his muse for the winter collection 2013/2014.

The unique architecture of the city, the Guggenheim Museum, the spirit of the streets and the iconography of some corners of Bilbao and landscapes were his inspiration.

“I was to learn of its architecture. Consider very interesting to apply the graphics architecture of the city to the collection”, detailed Stuart Vevers. The collection shows a sophisticated city, where the art of fusion is latent, a game of contrasts of modern and classic.
