With almost 2,600 participants representing 37 nationalities and 50 provinces of the national territory and more than 22,000 overnight stays, the triathlon of the capital of Álava has become a social phenomenon.
This year, as in previous editions, the route has two types of competition: Full (swimming: 3.8kms, cycling: 180kms and running: 42kms.) and Half (1.9kms.-93kms.-21kms.)
The competition starts in the reservoir of Ullibarri-Gamboa, in the Provincial Park of Landa, an extraordinary scenery interesting because of its ecological value. Then it continues cycling through landscapes of the Llanada Alavesa and the Sierra de Elguea through small towns of great cultural interest and sharing part of the route along the Camino de Santiago. To finish, the race goes runnig through pedestrian walks and central streets of Vitoria-Gasteiz.
